Budget revenues from customs duties decreased by 70.1% compared to last year

Budget revenues from customs duties decreased by 1.1 trillion rubles, or 70.1%, compared to last year, follows from the latest data from the Electronic Budget portal. on June 20 (they were studied by Izvestia). The Ministry of Finance explained this by a reduction in oil and gas revenues against the backdrop of lower prices for energy resources and the volume of their exports. At the same time, income from trade with the EAEU countries increased by 38%. The shortfall in customs duties contributes to the budget deficit: in May it amounted to 3.4 trillion against the planned 2.9 trillion.
Federal budget revenues from foreign economic activity consist of payments, related to exports and imports, explained to Izvestia in the press service of the Ministry of Finance. They added: export fees are mainly associated with the oil and gas sector. Their reduction has been observed since the beginning of the year against the backdrop of lower oil prices and export volumes in some areas.
