NOVATEK to build an LNG plant in the Tula Region

Chairman of the Management Board of PAO NOVATEK (hereinafter "NOVATEK" and/or "Company") Leonid Mikhelson and Governor of the Tula Region Alexey Dyumin signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of an investment project in the field of small-scale LNG in the Tula region.
The agreement provides for the construction of a small-scale LNG plant with a capacity of 126 thousand tons per year in the Tula region on the territory of the special economic zone of the Uzlovaya industrial production type. The project will be the largest LNG plant in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation and will ensure the supply of liquefied natural gas as a motor fuel through a network of cryo filling stations and for the needs of autonomous gasification.
The use of LNG will improve the economic efficiency of transport, reduce the negative impact on the environment, increase the reliability of energy supply and will contribute to the economic development of Russian regions.
