The EU adopted the 11th package of sanctions against Russia

The package is mainly aimed at preventing Russia from evading sanctions: the EU will be able to restrict the supply of certain goods and technologies to third countries.

  • In particular , the package includes the possibility of expanding the ban on the export of goods to third countries through which goods subject to sanctions enter Russia. In addition, Russian-registered trailers are prohibited from transporting goods to the EU, and ships that violate oil embargo and price ceiling rules are prohibited from entering EU ports. At the suggestion of Estonia, the ban on calls at the ports of the Gulf of Finland also applies to anchorages outside the jurisdiction of the ports.
  • FriendshipВ» (the countries themselves refused to receive Russian raw materials through the pipeline in winter). At the same time, the EU emphasized that oil deliveries from Kazakhstan or any other country through the territory of Russia via Druzhba Europe will not be banned.
  • The EU Council announced that 87 organizations have been added to the sanctions list, which, according to Brussels, support the Russian military-industrial complex. We are talking about organizations from China, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, Syria and Armenia, the European Commission clarifies.
  • More than 100 individuals and legal entities have also been blacklisted, their assets will be frozen. Names have not yet been released, but the EC noted that it included judges, senior military officials "involved in the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children", businessmen, journalists and Russian IT companies that provide services to Russian intelligence, as well as banks in territories considered occupied by Brussels.
  • The EU is also expanding the ban on the export to Russia of luxury cars, all new and used cars with engines over 1.9 liters, as well as electric and hybrid cars.
  • Also, The European Union has suspended the broadcasting licenses of the Russian TV channels RT Balkan, Oriental Review, Tsargrad, New Eastern Outlook and Katehon.

The ambassadors of the EU countries agreed 11th package of anti-Russian sanctions June 23. Brussels has been working on a new round of restrictions since early March.
