Only from January to March in Russia, the demand for workers with knowledge of Chinese grew by 40%, in 2022 it was 1.5 times higher than the pre-pandemic level, estimated by HeadHunter. Universities have also announced the expansion of programs with the study of Chinese.
Against the backdrop of Western sanctions against Russia and strengthening economic ties with China, the demand of domestic employers for specialists with knowledge of the Chinese language in 2022 was one and a half times higher than the pre-pandemic level. In 2023, the trend has strengthened — in the first quarter alone, the number of vacancies with such a requirement increased by 40% compared to the same period last year, HeadHunter told RBC. Most of all, specialists from the transport and logistics sector, sales and production are in demand; his proposed salary — from 50,000 to 90,000 rubles.
