Iranian nuclear scientists trained at Rostekhnadzor

The training of the delegation of the Iranian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (INRA), organized by the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) within the framework of the IAEA technical cooperation program, has been completed.
During the visit, representatives of the Iranian regulator visited MSZ JSC in the city of Elektrostal, where they got acquainted with the technological chain and the main stages of the manufacture of nuclear fuel from the receipt of raw materials to the manufacture and shipment of fuel assemblies. All aspects of the relevant supervisory activities, regulation of safety in the management of radioactive waste and transportation of nuclear material. The relevant Russian regulatory framework and information on the licensing system, main supervisory activities, inspection practices, review of safety justification documents were also reviewed.
