The Ministry of Industry and Trade will distribute money to support imports

More than 37 billion rubles will be used to subsidize a special program of concessional lending for purchases of imported products that are important for the economy. The order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
We are talking about issuing preferential loans to importers at a rate of no more than 30% of the key rate of the Central Bank plus three percentage points. In current conditions, this is a little more than 6%. The funds allocated by the Government will allow subsidizing such loans for a total amount of at least 800 billion rubles.
The period for which importers will be able to receive such resources will depend on the purpose of the loan. For the purchase of raw materials and components, the preferential rate will be valid for one year. For equipment and means of production – three years.
