Coal engineering enterprises can reduce metal prices

Chairman of the State Duma Committee for the Protection of Competition Valery Gartung held the first meeting of the Council for the Development of Competition in the Fuel and Energy Complex. The meeting was devoted to import substitution in the coal industry. Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the largest mining and smelting companies and coal engineering enterprises spoke. The speakers noted that it is necessary to strengthen the role of the Ministry of Energy in matters of import substitution in the fuel and energy complex and suggested that appropriate coordination councils be formed in the Ministry. In addition, it was proposed, with the help of the Ministry of Energy, to enter into a consolidated order, unify the supply systems of coal industry enterprises and requirements for suppliers.
The speakers especially noted the rise in prices for metal, so it was proposed that the mining and smelting complex provide coal engineering enterprises with low prices for metal when fulfilling orders for the manufacture of the corresponding equipment.
