Gazprom Neft Company and Rostekhnadzor implemented a pilot project for remote monitoring of construction work at the Archinskoye field in the Tomsk region. Specialists conducted an inspection of a hazardous production facility (HFO) at the field using augmented reality tools and unmanned systems, due to which the inspection process was significantly simplified and accelerated.
Rostekhnadzor specialists remotely examined the booster pumping station at the Archinskoye field of Gazpromneft-Vostok. Representatives of the supervisory agency conducted monitoring at a distance of 600 km from the fishing infrastructure. In addition to the AR headset, drones have also been used to record the exact location and actions of the operator, as well as capture 360º panoramas.
The new approach improves the efficiency of processes supervision in the field of capital construction: inspectors receive online objective information about the state of construction projects. The remote control system will reduce the period of inspections by eight times, as well as significantly reduce the level of logistics costs by eliminating the organization of inspectors' visits directly to autonomous facilities. The company is considering the possibility of replicating this technology to other capital construction projects.
“The use of augmented reality technologies and unmanned aerial systems will significantly optimize the inspection process. This is most relevant for remote and hard-to-reach objects. Audio and video recording capabilities make it possible to increase the transparency of ongoing activities, provide additional opportunities for subsequent analysis of the data received and making a final decision on the status of eliminating comments on previously issued instructions from Rostechnadzor and on the compliance of the facility with the requirements of the law,” said Dmitry Kolegov, Deputy Head of the Siberian Department of Rostechnadzor.< /p>
