Dmitry and Alexander Pumpyansky left the Board of Directors of PJSC "TMK"

On March 9, 2022, it became known that the Pumpyansky family (husband, wife and son) fell under EU sanctions. Dmitry Pumpyansky, through TMK Steel Holding Limited (Limassol, Cyprus), owned about 90% of TMK. After the sanctions, Pumpyansky left the beneficiaries and the board of directors of TMK. It is not clear who has now become the new owner of TMK.
Anatoly Chubais said this about Dmitry Pumpyansky: “I have always treated Dmitry Pumpyansky with great respect. Believe me, this is me not for some diplomatic purposes, but in reality. For me, this is a person who is not just a leader and owner, a private owner, a real owner, but a person who has a fantastically deep level of technological thinking and professional qualifications. This is some incredible luck in the company. And of course, this sets the requirements for the whole team, so wherever you go, for example, to Sinara, here I was at the factory where the "Swallows" are produced. Well, just a class, just a colossal production, gigantic scale. At the same time, you can see how each technological solution is thought out, how much sense is put into it. When you visit pipe rolling, wherever it is, at different plants, you can see that the technological level is the highest, the safety is the highest, and further progress is being made. The company is entering a digital twin, serious investments are being made to create an online monitoring of the technological and production process and from there to go to unmanned planning, to another, even higher level of technology. We understand that a continuous technological process in pipe rolling is the most complex requirements for all tolerances, for all temperature and mechanical parameters. And in this sense, each next step is almost an art."
