Center for the construction of large-tonnage offshore structures within the framework of "Arctic LNG 2"

Glavgosexpertiza of Russia reviewed the project documentation and engineering survey results for the third stage of construction of the Center for the Construction of Large-tonnage Offshore Structures. Based on the results of the state examination, a positive conclusion was issued.

The Arctic LNG 2 project, which is being implemented by NOVATEK on the basis of the Utrenneye field, includes the construction of three technological lines for the production of liquefied natural gas with a total capacity of 19.8 million tons per year and stable gas condensate up to 1.6 million tons per year. The project is based on an innovative concept for the construction of offshore structures using gravity foundations (GBS). To ensure the manufacture of CDP, assembly and installation of topsides modules near the village of Belokamenka in the Murmansk region - between the Belokamenny and Veliky capes in the Kola Bay - a center for the construction of large-capacity offshore structures with two dry docks is being built. At the moment, TsSKMS is building gravity-type foundations for the Arctic LNG 2 project.
