LLC Weatherford and PJSC TMK will cooperate in oilfield services

OOO В«WeatherfordВ» and the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) have agreed on technological cooperation in the provision of services for the oil and gas industry in the Russian and foreign markets. The parties signed a framework agreement at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF-2021). This became known on Thursday, October 7.

The document indicates the intentions of the parties to regularly exchange information and determine areas for the introduction of new technologies in oilfield services. TMK partners can receive from the company not only data on its technical and operational tasks, but also the recommendations of Weatherford technologies. In addition, LLC В«WeatherfordВ» will get the opportunity to propose their own solutions during the implementation of TMK projects.

Representatives of both structures will be included in the technology coordinating committee, which will manage the projects of scientific and technical cooperation.

As Sergey Chikalov, TMK's First Deputy General Director for Operations and Development, said, cooperation between technology leaders is one of the key trends in the development of global business. According to him, the efforts of the two companies were combined to increase competitive advantages and build competencies in the oil and gas service.
