Roman Goryunov was elected General Director of SPB Exchange

On October 6, 2021, by decision of the Board of Directors, Roman Goryunov was elected CEO of the SPB Exchange, where he will continue to implement the development strategy.
Evgeny Serdyukov, who previously held the position of CEO, will remain on the board of the SPB Exchange and will continue to be responsible for the position of First Deputy CEO for the development of exchange markets.

Roman Yuryevich Goryunov was born on May 19, 1975. Received a diploma in the specialty "Information systems in economics" at St. Petersburg State Technical University in 1997. He began his career as a student, in 1994 at the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange heading the Department for Organizing Trading in Securities and Financial Instruments.
In March 1997, the St. created the company NP “Stock Exchange “St. Petersburg” (now - PJSC “SPB Birzha”), where Roman Goryunov was involved in the creation of a trading system and the development of the derivatives market.
in order to develop the FORTS Derivatives Market, which was created as part of a joint project of the NP St. Petersburg Stock Exchange; and NP "RTS Stock Exchange", which acted as an organizer of trades and a clearing organization. Roman Goryunov took the position of Head of the Derivatives Market Department.
In April 2005, Roman Goryunov was appointed Vice President of the RTS Stock Exchange. In December 2006, he was appointed First Vice President. In July 2007, he was elected Chairman of the Board of the RTS Stock Exchange. Under the leadership of Goryunov's team, the RTS Stock Exchange became the leading Russian exchange, which by 2010 entered the top ten world derivatives exchanges.
After the merger of the RTS Stock Exchange and the MICEX in December 2011, Roman Goryunov took the post of First Deputy Chairman of the Board, Senior Managing Director OJSC "MICEX-RTS". In 2012, Roman Goryunov's team moved to the Association “NP RTS” and began to focus on the development of the St. Petersburg Exchange (until July 2, 2021 - OJSC “St. Petersburg Exchange”; at the time of foundation on March 18, 1997, NP “Saint Petersburg Stock Exchange”).

In June 2021, St. Petersburg Exchange and Roman Goryunov received nominations in the NAUFOR competition "Stock Market Elite 2020". SPB Exchange became the winner in the nomination "Project for the development of the national stock market" - localization of trading in foreign securities on the Russian market. Roman Goryunov, President of the NP RTS Association, won the competition in the nomination "CEO of the Year".
