Former chairman of the Committee on Geology Viktor Orlov dies

Farewell ceremony with Viktor Petrovich Orlov will take place on August 25 at 12 pm on the territory of the Troekurovsky cemetery. Buses will be organized (leaving at 11 am) from the building of the Ministry of Natural Resources on Bolshaya Gruzinskaya Street.

Orlov Viktor Petrovich was born on March 22, 1940 in a working-class family in the Ninth Village of Chernogorsk. After leaving school, he worked in the mine administration 14/15. Served on Sakhalin Island. In 1968 he graduated from the Tomsk State University named after M.V. Kuibyshev, majoring in Geology. Graduate Viktor Orlov's diploma work receives a silver medal from VDNKh of the USSR. He worked in geological expeditions in Iran.
