TANECO is building a delayed coking unit

Glavgosexpertiza of Russia has studied the design documentation and the results of engineering surveys for the construction of a delayed coking unit on the territory of the TANECO complex. Based on the results of consideration of the submitted materials, a positive conclusion was issued.
«TANECO» - The Tatarstan Oil Refining Complex, which is part of the Tatneft Group, is currently building a large oil refining unit in Nizhnekamsk. Design capacity of the delayed coking unit, which will be part of the complex of oil refineries and petrochemical plants of TANECO JSC, is 2 million tons per year in terms of raw mix.
The delayed coking process is one of the most efficient when deepening oil refining, since it allows obtaining additional resources of distillate raw materials from oil residues, which can be turned into motor fuels by upgrading. The Delayed Coker produces petroleum coke, sour gas, naphtha (unstable gasoline), light and heavy gas oils.
The Delayed Coker is a combined stacked structure with rack-type units , pumping stations and underground tanks, as well as overpasses. Auxiliary buildings will also be built here: a compressor room, a pumping station for supplying water to a hydrojet, a crushing unit, a building for a distribution transformer substation and a block-modular post for personnel heating.
In addition to installation in during the implementation of the project approved by the experts of Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, the necessary facilities for general plant and auxiliary purposes and a unit for loading petroleum coke into dump trucks will be built. PJSC «Tatneft». The design documentation was prepared by Kazan Institute for the Design of Oil Industry Facilities.
