The Russian market of special equipment in the first half of the year grew by one and a half times, up to 9.6 thousand cars. However, the Association of European Businesses says it needs to at least triple sales volumes to cover the need for technology. Analysts agree that the Russian fleet of special vehicles is outdated, but they see the problem in the inability for some regions to afford new equipment.
Russian market of road construction and special equipment in January—June increased by 50.6%, to 9.6 thousand cars, calculated in the Association of European Businesses (taking into account the data of importers, which represent about 80% of the segment). The most active demand grew in the second quarter — by 74.4%, to 5.6 thousand vehicles, while in the first three months of 2021 only 3.7 thousand units of equipment were sold, which is 26.4% higher than a year earlier.
