Gazprombank creates production of equipment for solar energy

Gazprombank and EnCOR Group LLC (part of Unigreen, which is owned by the REAM Management investment fund, which specializes in investing in green technologies) entered into a loan agreement for the implementation of a project to create a modern innovative industrial complex for mass production of high-tech products for solar generation in the Kaliningrad region.< /p>
Gazprombank's loan financing will amount to 17.8 billion rubles. for a period of 10 years. Financing the construction of a plant in the Kaliningrad region is one of the pilot transactions carried out on the principles of project financing with complex limited recourse mechanisms in Russian law, and the first transaction implemented on these principles in the field of "green energy". The project is the next step in the development of green energy with an increase in the depth of redistribution. About 1,000 jobs will be created during the implementation of the project.
The new production complex provides for a full cycle, including the growth of single-crystal silicon, the manufacture of ingots, followed by cutting into wafers in volume 1 , 3 GW per year and the production of high-efficiency photovoltaic converters (PVCs) using heterostructure technology with a total capacity of 1 GW.
"Gazprombank, being a leader in financing the renewable energy industry ( RES) in the Russian Federation, seeks to support new directions for the development of solar power. The implementation of the project for the construction of a plant in the Kaliningrad region will provide an increase in the annual production of equipment for solar power plants by more than 2 times. Thus, the capacity and production technology at the plant of LLC "EnKOR Group" will allow not only to cover the need for the supply of solar modules to the Russian market under the CSA-2 RES program, but also opens up new opportunities for the export of solar products to competitive foreign markets", – commented Ilya Devichensky, Deputy Head of the Project and Investment Finance Department - Head of the Energy Directorate.
