First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov held a meeting on the selection of projects for financing from the National Wealth Fund (NWF).

At the meeting, the Ministry of Economic Development presented a list of 32 projects, drawn up on the proposals of industry departments. In order to allocate funds from the NWF, ministries that initiate projects must submit detailed justifications and financial models to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development.

Andrey Belousov instructed to rank the projects into several groups by the order of priority and level of elaboration by May 17. Priority is given to projects that must be implemented on behalf of the President of Russia and that will ensure the synergistic development of infrastructure and industry. In particular, we are talking about large-scale projects in the transport sector, in particular, the modernization of the railway network, the electric power industry.

Projects that will be implemented with the participation of development institutions are also considered. In addition, among the discussed – projects that provide support for the export of Russian technologies, as well as leasing projects that involve the renewal of the transport fleet through the purchase of domestically produced equipment.
