An investigation into the causes of the accident at the facility of OOO LUKOIL-Komi began

Commission to investigate the causes of the accident at the hazardous production facility "System of infield pipelines BPS-5 of the Osh field" LLC "LUKOIL-Komi", formed by the order of the head of the Pechora Department of Rostekhnadzor on May 12, started work. At the same time, in accordance with Article 10 of the Federal Law "On the protection of the rights of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the exercise of state control (supervision) and municipal control", an unscheduled on-site inspection of a legal entity will be carried out.

Earlier, on May 11, during the inspection of the scene by employees of the Pechora Department of Rostekhnadzor, it was established:

- the emergency oil collector does not meet the requirements of safety, strength, corrosion resistance and reliability with taking into account the operating conditions;

- a closed collection system, complete tightness and safety of products are not ensured.

Identified violations pose a direct threat to animals, plants and the environment. Based on the results of the inspection, a protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up under Part 1 of Article 9.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
