The Khanty-Mansiysk branch of the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia reviewed the project documentation and engineering survey results for the development of a well pad and communications corridor at the Kogalym oil field. Based on the results of the state examination, a positive conclusion was issued.
The Kogalym field, discovered in the early 1970s in the Surgut district of the Tyumen region, is one of the largest within the Western -Siberian oil and gas province. Its reserves amount to 500 million tons, and in order to maintain production, at the current stage of field development, the construction of new production wells continues at the Kogalym license area, owned by OOO LUKOIL-AIK.
