The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has submitted to the State Duma a draft law "On Amendments to the Federal Law" On Standardization in the Russian Federation". The bill was developed jointly with the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology.

The main goal of the bill is to formalize the digitalization of work in the national standardization system. Currently, regulatory technical documents included in the Standards Fund are presented mainly on paper. The transition to a digital model of the processes of development and adoption of national standards will improve the efficiency of the application and use of the "digital platform", created by Rosstandart (FSIS «BERESTA»).

Changes, among other things, are aimed at improving certain provisions of state regulation in the field of standardization. Now it will be possible to include the standards of organizations and specifications in the Federal Standards Information Fund, as well as clarify the procedures for the formation of project technical committees for standardization.

Recall that the implementation of the standardization system is an important element of state science, technology and innovation policy, as well as one of the key tools for technology transfer in industry.
