The classic overhead pipeline design technology includes up to 3600 calculations for every 100 km of the route, while the innovation of Rosneft specialists allows to carry out 81 thousand calculations for the same length of the pipe, while reducing the time for performing calculations by 2 times. This, in turn, allows you to optimize pipeline construction time by 10%.
The technology is based on the creation of a digital model of a linear object (DMLO) and includes a design automation methodology, software tools for implementing the methodology, as well as a database for storing information at the stages of design, construction and operation of facilities. Application CMLO allows you to perform individual calculations and select the optimal solutions for each support, and not for a group of supports with similar loads, heights, geological and geocryological conditions.
The developed technology will be implemented in all corporate institutions of the Company. In the future, technical solutions and their cost estimation will be carried out automatically with minimal participation of specialized specialists.
