The Valanginskaya deposit of the Vostochno-Urengoyskoye field is being prepared for trial production

JSC Rospan International, a subsidiary of PJSC NK Rosneft, received a positive opinion from the Glavgosexpertiza on the re-submitted documentation for the development of the Valanginskaya deposit of the Vostochno-Urengoyskoye field in Yamalo- Nenets Autonomous District.
The development of the Valanginian deposit began in 2015. The license for the subsoil plot is held by Rospan International JSC. Recoverable reserves of a multilayer oil and gas deposit are estimated at 19 million tons of oil and condensate, 98 billion cubic meters of gas. The design documentation provides for the development of the Bu16 1-4 formation of the Valanginian deposit before trial operation, the construction of two production wells and an oil treatment unit. All buildings, which will be part of the installation, are designed for the separation of hydrocarbons and formation waters of producing wells. The performance of the unit is calculated based on the condition of ensuring the reception of the volumes of the maximum production of the well cluster in terms of liquid, oil, formation water and gas.
The work will be carried out in two stages. Initially, engineering preparation of well cluster No. 4-01 and technological piping of well R-911 will be carried out, and an oil treatment unit will be constructed. At the second stage, the technological piping of the wells will take place, after which they will be connected to the installation. At the same time, construction of wells is not considered in the design documentation.

The Vostochno-Urengoyskoye field is located in the Purovsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. It was discovered as a result of exploration drilling in 1978. Valanginian gas is located at a depth of 1700-3200 m and is characterized by a significant content of ethane, propane and gas condensate. The Valanginian Stage is part of the Neocomian Overstage. Next, the tiers of the Jurassic period already follow. The cost of production of such gas is higher than that of the Cenomanian.
