PJSC Gazprom Neft and Saudi Aramco signed a cooperation agreement

As part of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Saudi Arabia, Gazprom Neft PJSC and Saudi Aramco signed a cooperation agreement. The companies are going to work together to create and use artificial intelligence and neural networks. New technologies will help in the development and refinement of hydrodynamic models of deposits.
Now the refinement of such models — routine work, while there is a risk of errors that can lead to multi-billion dollar losses in the construction of infrastructure. Therefore, the task is to create a self-learning system that will make this work faster and more accurate. The new product will significantly increase the efficiency of field development planning.
The companies have already identified six areas of cooperation, including import substitution and localization of equipment for oil exploration and production, as well as in the production of catalysts. and Saudi Aramco are discussing the possibility of cooperation in drilling technologies, multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, oil production from low-permeability reservoirs, in the field of carbonate reservoirs, modeling of deposits, including deep ones.
