Omsk Oil Refinery Launches Automated Complex for Shipment of Oil Products

One millionth tonne of light oil products has been shipped at the Omsk Oil Refinery using a new automated clock loading unit. An innovative sealing system has made this process completely environmentally friendly. All off-gases from the process are captured by filters and sent back to the technological process of the enterprise. The modern complex allows to ship 11 types of products simultaneously in 36 railway tanks on two tracks. The uniqueness of the modern system – high precision weighing. The filling of tanks can be assessed online in real time. Investments in the creation of a new complex for the environmentally friendly shipment of petroleum products amounted to 3 billion rubles.
The Omsk Oil Refinery continues to implement solutions included in the program of activities of the federal project "Clean Air". In accordance with the agreement that the Omsk Refinery signed with the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, Rosprirodnadzor and the government of the Omsk Region, the company is implementing nine environmental projects with a total investment of over 100 billion rubles. One of these projects — automated shipment complex — has replaced open gallery railroad overpasses and demonstrates high environmental performance due to the complete encapsulation of processes. As part of the federal project, the Omsk Oil Refinery will reduce its own environmental impact and provide a 3.7% reduction from the planned 22% regional reduction.

As part of the first stage of modernization, the enterprises completely switched to the production of modern environmentally friendly Euro-5 motor fuels.
