The Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a meeting of foreign EPC contractors of the oil and gas complex

On October 11, 2019, a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council for the development of oil and gas equipment under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia was held at the Agency for Technological Development (Skolkovo, Malevicha Street, 1). The issue of introducing methodological recommendations for organizing and conducting the qualification selection of Russian manufacturers of machine-building products was discussed, taking into account the requirements of international engineering companies (EPC contractors) for their further inclusion by licensors in vendor lists. The problem is very relevant, since foreign licensors include in their vendor lists only suppliers from Western companies that are well known to them. In conditions when the development of Russian enterprises is required, such a situation is unacceptable, therefore the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade works with foreign companies on a systematic basis. The main problem arises in the implementation of projects in the field of oil and gas chemistry, oil refining, and the construction of complex industrial facilities.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation plans to sign a memorandum with foreign EPC contractors on the qualification of Russian manufacturers. Yevgeny Muratov, curator of oil and gas engineering at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, spoke about the work of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Paul van Duren, Project Implementation Director for McDermott Russia, also spoke. The event was attended by representatives of KBR International Inc, Technip SA, Maire Tecnimont Group and other foreign companies. It is important that the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade invited representatives of PJSC Gazprom, JSC NK Rosneft, PJSC LUKOIL, PJSC Gazprom Neft, Surgutneftegaz PJSC, Tatneft PJSC, NOVATEK PJSC, Sibur Holding PJSC, NIPIgazpererabotka JSC. Among the Russian industrial companies invited were HMS Group JSC, Izhora Plants PJSC, Borkhimmash JSC, Volgogradneftemash JSC, Penzkompressormash JSC, REP Holding JSC, Uraltekhnostroy JSC. , as well as the Union of Oil and Gas Equipment Manufacturers.
The event was attended by the chairman of the subcommittee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on the interaction of the fuel and energy complex with related industries, the founder of the Rating Center fuel and energy complex suppliers Elena Loginova, who spoke about the meeting of foreign licensors at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the formation of a list of the best industry contractors and the creation of platforms for interaction between customers and suppliers of oil and gas equipment.
