PJSC NOVATEK with the help of Mitsui organizes LNG transshipment in Kamchatka and the Murmansk region

PJSC «NOVATEK» entered into a cooperation agreement with the Japanese company Mitsui OSK Lines, Ltd. (MOL) and the Bank of Japan for International Cooperation (JBIC). The purpose of the agreement is the joint implementation of projects for the construction of LNG transshipment complexes in Kamchatka and the Murmansk region, including the acquisition of shares and financing of projects.
To optimize logistics and transportation costs, NOVATEK; plans to build an LNG transshipment and storage complex in the Ura Bay in the Murmansk Region with a capacity of 20 million tons per year. For the same purpose, the company is going to organize an LNG transshipment point in Kamchatka with a similar volume. Both terminals are scheduled to launch in 2022.
