A tanker for the Arctic LNG-2 plant will be built at the Zvezda shipyard

By the end of October, it is planned to sign a construction contract at the Zvezda shipyard; pilot vessel for the plant "Arktik LNG-2" NOVATEK company. At the same time, the first advance payment will be made. By the end of 2019, four more vessels will be signed, which will be built according to the same specifications as the pilot vessel.

The basis for the Arctic LNG-2 project, which is to become Russia's largest liquefied natural gas plant, is the Utrenneye deposit on the Gydan Peninsula in the YaNAO. The project provides for the construction of three technological lines for the production of liquefied natural gas with a capacity of 6.6 million tons per year each and stable gas condensate up to 1.6 million tons per year. The total capacity of the three lines will be 19.8 million tons of LNG per year. The cost of the project is $21.3 billion. The launch of three lines is scheduled for 2023, 2024 and 2026, respectively.
