The opening ceremony of the 35/10 kV Nikolskoye substation took place in the Belgorod Region. This is the first digital substation in the Central region of Russia.

Substation "Nikolskoe" — one of the most modern power facilities in Russia. As part of the Digital Transformation Concept, the power center was reconstructed using international IEC 61850 standards. Software complexes based on microprocessor element base are integrated with the devices of the automated dispatch control system. All data on the parameters of equipment operation, telemetry, telecontrol and telesignaling are sent via digital data channels to the Unified Network Control Center of the branch. At the same time, the dispatcher not only monitors the technological processes, but also provides remote control of switching devices and relay protection equipment. The introduction of digital technologies will significantly improve the quality of power supply to consumers.

By the end of 2019, the company is implementing a number of projects in the region that have not previously had analogues in Central Russia. Among them - the Unified Grid Control Center "Belgorodenergo", equipping all special equipment and vehicles of power engineers with the GLONASS system, the "Digital Distribution Zone" project; on the basis of Borisovsky RES. In total, for the digitalization of the power grid complex of the Belgorod region "Rosseti Center" will send over 7 billion rubles.
