LUKOIL plans to acquire the Ammonium plant

LUKOIL retains interest in buying Tatarstan fertilizer producer Ammonium – the company has submitted a corresponding application for the entire package.
This was announced by the head of the company Vagit Alekperov.
According to Vagit Alekperov, now the current owners and the government of Tatarstan must decide .
The company applied for the whole package, but not the aggressive one.
A similar facility is planned in Budyonnovsk: also the production of carbamide and ammonia.
Therefore, the company's goal for Ammonium – to work out all the technologies, as well as markets, to establish logistics, marketing, and, starting to implement a large gas chemical project, to understand the market, the economics of this project. < /div>
For LUKOIL, these are strategic projects – gas chemistry.
Recall that in April 2019 it was reported that an unexpected challenger – LUKOIL.
So, the company is ready to offer about 1 billion US dollars for the asset, as well as the 2nd bidder – Eurochem.
The head and co-owner of AEON corporation R. Trotsenko also reported that his Azot structure (part of SDS-Azot) intends to participate in the competition.
VEB is going to sell the Ammonium plant in 2019, among the applicants are 6 largest Russian and foreign oil and gas chemical concerns.
Today Ammonium's debt to VEB is about 100 billion rubles.
