Catalysts make it possible to turn raw materials into highly profitable petroleum products. Catalysts ensure the production of motor fuels for engines of the environmental standard "Euro-5" and higher.
At present, most hydrotreating catalysts and all hydrocracking catalysts are supplied from abroad.
In the Russian Federation, Gazprom Neft is actively developing the catalyst business, for which this is a strategic direction and a priority project in the downstream segment.
The Gazprom Neft project for the development of catalyst production has the status of a national project and is a breakthrough not only for oil refining.
