RusHydro's projects for the construction and modernization of thermal power plants in the Far East were approved

On July 17, the Government of the Russian Federation approved the list of projects proposed by RusHydro for the construction and modernization of thermal power plants in the Far East: the construction of Artemovskaya CHPP-2, Khabarovskaya CHPP-4, the second stage of Yakutskaya GRES-2 and the modernization of Vladivostok CHPP-2. The payback of the projects will be ensured by the mechanisms provided for by the state program for the modernization of the thermal power industry in Russia. put into operation in 1936. The station will be built on a new site with partial use of the infrastructure of the decommissioned station. The electric power of the station will be 420 MW, the thermal power – 483 Gcal/h. Brown coal from local deposits will be used as fuel. Commissioning is scheduled for 2026.
Khabarovsk CHPP-4 is intended to replace Khabarovsk CHPP-1 (1954) and will be located on its site , in the center of electrical and thermal loads of the capital of the Khabarovsk Territory. Its electric power will be 328 MW, thermal – 1374 Gcal/h. The station will operate on natural gas and is scheduled to start up in 2025.
The second stage of Yakutskaya GRES-2 will be located at the site of the decommissioned Yakutskaya GRES. The planned electric power of the new station – 157.4 MW, thermal power – 200 Gcal/h. Commissioning is scheduled for 2025.
