TNK-BP increased the volume of purchases from enterprises Tyumen region to a record figure of 6.2 billion rubles for 8 months of this year, said the vice president of TNK-BP Management OJSC Oleg Chemezov at the round table meeting in Tyumen, which was attended by representatives of the Government of the Tyumen region and local producers of goods and services.

TNK-BP and the government of the Tyumen region in 2009 are implementing a program to jointly support enterprises in the south of the Tyumen region - in April 2009 there was a joint Coordination group has been formed to monitor the current TNK-BP contracting process, which also deals with the resolution of emerging disagreements. As a result, the volume of purchases of material and technical resources and services from Tyumen suppliers increased to 7.8 billion rubles in 2010 from 3.9 billion rubles in 2008.

The company, with the support of the Government of the Tyumen region, will continue to increase the transparency of the process contracting to achieve the strategic goal - the transition to a long-term system of relations with suppliers and contractors to increase the efficiency of procurement of services and material and technical resources.

At the same time, ensuring the proper level of quality and standardization of contractors’ products remains one of the key questions, said the vice-president of the supply system management, director of the procurement department of OJSC TNK-BP Management Alexey Kada.
