About 70 foreign and 60 Russian specialists will gather in Moscow to discuss the most important issues of standardization in the oil and gas complex

September 14-15, 2011, in Moscow Will take place 31st plenary meeting of Technical Committee 67 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO TC 67) "Materials, equipment and offshore structures for the petroleum, petrochemical and gas industries." The event will be held at the Baltschug Kempinski Hotel under the initiative of the national TC 23 “Engineering and technologies for oil and gas production and processing” supported by Rosstandart.
The meeting will consider Russia's proposal to create, under the leadership of a Russian representative, a new subcommittee "Arctic Operations" to develop international standards for the protection of the fragile ecology of the Arctic, special requirements for life support, evacuation and rescue of personnel, equipment and materials for the development and transportation of hydrocarbon resources in polar climates.
Representatives of Rosstandart, OJSC Gazprom and "AK "Transneft" will make reports, Heads of subcommittees of ISO TC 67 - with annual reports. Reports from ISO TC 67 working groups and temporary working groups of the Steering Committee will be heard, such as "Arctic Operations" and "Industrial accidents in the Gulf of Mexico and other regions."
For reference: ISO TC 67 includes 30 participating countries, 23 of which have confirmed their participation in the meeting. Among the experts there are representatives of all major oil and gas producing countries in the world, all regions of oil and gas production and hydrocarbon processing.
