The Board of Directors approved the work of Gazprom in the field of gas processing

30.11.2017

Board of Directors of PJSC "Gazprom" approved the work carried out by the company to implement the strategy in the field of gas processing in the Russian Federation.

At the meeting, it was noted that the key tasks of the company in the field of processing are to increase the degree of extraction of valuable components from hydrocarbon raw materials and the production of highly liquid products. For this, Gazprom consistently develops existing and builds new processing facilities.

In particular, in 2014, the capacity of the Surgut gas condensate stabilization plant was increased from 8 to 12 million tons per year due to the construction of two additional production lines. In 2015–2017, the production facilities of the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat LLC were modernized, which made it possible to improve the quality and increase the volume of products manufactured at the enterprises. In addition, this year at the plant "Gazprom neftekhim Salavat" a complex for deep processing of natural gas and propylene was put into operation.

Currently, a number of strategically important projects for the processing of hydrocarbons are under implementation.< br />
In the East of Russia, the construction of the Amur GPP is underway — the country's largest and one of the world's largest natural gas processing facilities. The plant will annually process 42 billion cubic meters. m of gas from the Yakutsk and Irkutsk gas production centers. In addition to commercial gas, the GPP will produce helium, as well as ethane, propane, butane and other components valuable for gas chemistry. The commissioning of the first two of the six production lines will take place in 2021.

plans to increase the production of gas and gas condensate from the Valanginian and Achimov deposits, located deeper than the traditionally developed Cenomanian deposits.

is building a Stabilization Unit in the area of Novy Urengoy. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2019. It is necessary to obtain stable condensate, wide fractions of light hydrocarbons and deethanization gas (with a high content of ethane).

In the future, this gas will be transported to the Deethanization Gas Treatment Unit of the Urengoy Condensate Treatment Plant. The launch of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2019.

Gazprom is also studying options for organizing transportation and processing in the North-Western and Volga federal districts of ethane-containing gas reserves from the Achimov and Valanginian deposits of the Nadym-Pur-Taz region, fields on the Yamal Peninsula.

gas chemical complex for processing ethane into polymeric products, which can be obtained at the Astrakhan GPP after appropriate reconstruction.
