TNK-BP brought into development the Kulaginskoye field in the Orenburg region

NGDU "Sorochinskneft" (part of the TNK-BP group of companies) in August brought into development the Kulaginskoye field with reserves of about 1 million tons.

The company launched trial production of well No. 1 with an initial flow rate of 30 tons per day to assess the production capabilities of the well and developing a strategy for further development of the field, said the head of the field development department of NGDU Sorochinskneft Arkady Popov.

The Kulaginskoye deposit, located in the Novosergievsky district of the Orenburg region, was acquired in March 2011. As of 2011, the geological reserves of the deposit amount to 929 thousand tons.

TNK-BP is implementing a large-scale investment program in the Orenburg region and plans to invest in 2012. allocate more than $900 million to develop infrastructure in the region, which is the second largest production level in the Company.
