NK "Rosneft" completed 2D seismic surveys and related exploration work at the East Siberian-1 license block, located on the shelf of the East Siberian Sea, ahead of the deadlines stipulated by license obligations.
The research was organized by the subsidiary NK " ;Rosneft" – RN-Shelf-Arktika LLC.
The area of work is considered to be one of the most severe in terms of natural and climatic conditions in the Eastern Arctic.
The total volume of 2D seismic surveys performed was about 4.7 thousand including during the entire period of marine operations, biologists carried out observations of marine mammals and birds.
