Rosneft expands cooperation with Greek Motor Oil Hellas

PJSC NK Rosneft, Petrocas Energy (a company of the NK Rosneft Group) and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries have signed a trilateral agreement of intent in the field of oil and oil products supplies.

The document defines the intentions of the parties to organize mutual deliveries of raw materials and oil products over the next 5 years and provides for the potential possibility of increasing these volumes up to 7.5 million tons per year.

Signed agreement takes cooperation with Greek partners to a new level and lays the foundation for stable and long-term relations in the field of supply of oil and other raw materials for oil refineries in Greece. Also, the document will allow Rosneft get the opportunity to independently sell oil products produced at the refineries of Motor Oil Hellas for trading using the capacities of Petrocas Energy.

The agreement was signed to develop the existing partnership between Petrocas Energy and Motor Oil Hellas. In 2017, the volume of supplies and purchases of petroleum products amounted to more than 2 million tons. Oil products were supplied to Motor Oil Hellas mainly from the resources of Rosneft Oil Company.

Petrocas Energy is a regional player focused on logistics, trading and retail of petroleum products. The company owns and operates a high-tech oil loading terminal in the port of Poti (Georgia), which carries out logistics operations with oil refining and petrochemical products, the geography of trading operations is concentrated in the Caspian and Black Seas. The Company also operates the largest retail chain of filling stations in Georgia (140 branded stations).

Motor Oil Hellas (MOH) owns one of the most technologically advanced refineries in the world, which is the largest privately owned industrial complex in Greece by a factor of 11.54 on the Nelson Complexity Index scale. The refinery has been certified and meets the requirements of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001: 2004), as well as the requirements of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2008).

Refinery processing volume - 13.5 million tons (crude oil, fuel oil, gas oil, etc.), which is 42% of the total annual volume in Greece.

MOH is the largest exporter of oil products in Greece with a 75% share.

In addition to crude oil processing, the Group also sells oil products and owns 100% of in filling station chains under the Shell, Coral Gas, Avin and LPC brands (1,436 filling stations, 35% of the filling business in Greece.). A developed network of filling stations allows efficient retail sales in the domestic market and in the markets of the Eastern Mediterranean. The group of companies also owns 35 gas stations in the Balkans and Cyprus.
