"Rosneft" began shipping the first batch of marketable oil from the new Erginsky cluster to the Transneft pipeline system. The solemn ceremony on the occasion of the commissioning of the start-up complex of the Erginsky cluster was attended by the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and the Chief Executive Officer of PJSC NK Rosneft Igor Sechin.

The Erginskoye cluster includes the Erginskoye, Zapadno-Erginskoye, Kondinskoye, Chaprovskoye and Novo-Endyrskoye deposits located on the territory of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug вЂ“ Yugra. Their total reserves (ABC1+C2) amount to 259 million tons of oil. According to its characteristics, it is вЂ“ light, low-sulphur oil, corresponding to the Siberian Light export brand.

The cluster was formed on the basis of the integration of the infrastructure of the Erginsky license area acquired at an auction in July this year with reserves of 103 million tons, as well as the Kondinsky group of fields. The total area of вЂ‹вЂ‹licensed areas is more than 5 thousand km2. In order to develop the resource base, exploration work continues at all licensed areas.

When implementing the Erginskoye project, advanced technologies for the extraction of hard-to-recover reserves will be used, including: real-time controlled horizontal drilling, multi-stage hydraulic fracturing technologies with using heavy-duty polymer proppant, methods В« smart waterfloodingВ» and other technologies for increasing reservoir recovery. Technologies for the extraction of hard-to-recover reserves, which are already used by Rosneft; at the Priobskoye field will allow developing the deposits of the Erginsky cluster with maximum efficiency.

As part of the first start-up complex вЂ“ the main facilities for oil and gas production and transportation of oil: the Central gathering point (CGS) with a capacity of 2.3 million tons of oil and more than 120 million m as well as a 68 km long pipeline, which ensures the transportation of oil to the Transneft oil trunk pipeline system. The project to develop the Erginsky cluster will be implemented taking into account modern environmental requirements: by 2020, the level of rational use of associated petroleum gas will be at least 95%.
