A refinery with a capacity of 1 million tons may open in Makhachkala before the end of 2017.

In Makhachkala (Republic of Dagestan), an oil refinery "Dagnefteprodukt" may open before the end of the year. The capacity of the processing plant will be up to 1 million tons per year. This is reported by the republican government.

The enterprise will be based at a transshipment tank farm in Makhachkala. According to the general director of "Dagnefteprodukt" Navruzbek Mugadzhirov, its territory has all the necessary infrastructure: berths for tankers, a railway line, tanks, loading and unloading racks for oil products, allowing loading and unloading up to 40 tanks.

The refinery will produce gasoline, kerosene, diesel and marine fuel, road bitumen. Oil is supposed to be purchased from LUKOIL, Gazprom Neft, Tatneft, Rosneft. and other large oil companies.

The project investor is Dagnotech LLC, which invested about 6.5 billion rubles of its own and borrowed funds. The project involves the implementation in two stages: the construction of primary oil refining units with an atmospheric-vacuum unit and the deep processing of straight-run gasoline.

"Dagestan new technologies". It envisaged the construction of a mini-refinery with a processing capacity of 1 million tons of oil and an oil products storage park for 100,000 tons.
