TNK-BP plans to invest $100 million in geological exploration work at Uvat in 2012

TNK-Uvat LLC (a subsidiary of TNK-BP), as part of the implementation of the Uvat project in the south of the Tyumen region, plans to invest about $100 million in geological exploration in 2012, which approximately corresponds to the level of this year.

By the end of 2011, the company will launch fields of the project 70 production wells, mainly located on the territory of the Eastern Center for the development of the project, the General Director of TNK-Uvat LLC said at a press conference. Yuri Masalkin.

The company traditionally pays increased attention to geological exploration work at Uvat – In 2012, additional exploration of deposits and preparation for production of the Tyamkinskoye and Protozanovsky hubs will continue. Based on data obtained as a result of exploration and production drilling this year, TNK-Uvat plans to increase its oil reserves by 14-16 million tons.
