Nenets District is waiting for "Prirazlomnaya" off its shores in early September. On August 18, the towing of the Prirazlomnaya offshore ice-resistant stationary platform (OIFP) began from the shipyard of the shipyard in Murmansk after the completion of all commissioning work. OIRFP transportation is provided by the multifunctional icebreaking vessel "Vladislav Strizhov" and transport and towing vessels "Kigoriak", "Neptune" and "Iims". The length of the towing route will be 1200 km.

Towing the platform to the field will take about two weeks and, subject to favorable weather conditions, by the beginning of September the platform will be installed at the drilling point 55 km from the coast near the village of Varandey in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The depth of the sea in the area of ​​the field is about 19 m. At the same time, the draft of the platform itself is 17 m.
During a press conference held in St. Petersburg, the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Igor Fedorov, said that the completion of the construction of the platform " Prirazlomnaya,” which will be installed in the area of ​​the Prirazlomnoye field, on the Arctic shelf of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, is “an important event for all regions of Russia, since the country will have to determine its place in the Arctic project of the 21st century.”

"Prirazlomnaya" will be registered at the commercial port of Naryan-Mar. According to the plans of the customer - the Gazprom Neft Shelf company “The platform should begin producing oil in the first quarter of next year.” In accordance with the field development project, 40 wells will be drilled.

The offshore platform will provide all technological operations at the Prirazlomnoye field: drilling, production, oil storage, preparation and shipment of finished products. The platform is fully adapted to work in harsh climatic conditions and is designed for maximum ice loads. Let us note, "Prirazlomnaya" - the world's first platform that will operate in the extreme climatic conditions of the Arctic: in pack ice and at temperatures down to minus 50 degrees. It is designed for 25 years of operation.
