The Filanovsky field, about 190 km from Astrakhan, was discovered in 2005 and became the largest discovery in Russia over the last quarter of a century. The recoverable reserves of the field are 129 million tons of oil and 30 billion cubic meters. m of gas.

The deposit is operated by Lukoil. For the development of fields in the Northern Caspian "Lukoil" will build more than 25 platforms, the total investment will be over 350 billion rubles. The accumulated volume of investments of "Lukoil" in the development of the Filanovsky field is 150 billion rubles.
