Rosneft discovered a new field in the Angara region with reserves of 61 million tons of oil

"Rosneft" discovered a new field in the Irkutsk region – Verkhneicherskoe – with reserves of 61 million tons of oil equivalent, according to the company's website on October 28.

The discovery of the field was confirmed by the state commission on reserves. The discovery of the field took place in July 2016 as a result of drilling a well in the Verkhneicherskoye license area.

The development of a new field is expected to use the infrastructure of the Severo-Danilovskoye and Verkhnechonskoye oil and gas condensate fields.
