A single test operator will provide comprehensive quality control in cooperation with Gazprom Shelfproekt

The Unified Testing Operator (UOI) and Gazprom Shelfproekt have begun cooperation on the implementation of a technically complex project on the Russian shelf. The EOI will provide comprehensive construction and inspection control during the construction of an in-field subsea pipeline between facilities at the fields.

The field where the work is underway is one of the most significant discoveries in the domestic oil and gas industry over the past 25 years. The implementation of the project in this unique water area requires a high level of competence in the field of complex marine construction.

As part of the project, the EOI experts will take over control at all stages of the construction life cycle.:

• Entrance control: verification of the supplied products and materials, as well as compliance with the conditions of their storage and installation.
• Construction control: monitoring compliance with offshore construction technologies, including monitoring the inspection of the water area and removal of foreign objects.
• Control of marine operations: checking the laying, deepening, and backfilling of the pipeline, overseeing the installation of pipe inserts followed by the connection of an offshore underwater pipeline.
• Testing and diagnostics: control of visual measuring and non-destructive testing of welded butt joints. Supervision of cleaning, calibration, hydraulic testing and in-line diagnostics of the pipeline.
• Documentary support and acceptance: verification of executive documentation, inspection of hidden works and verification of the actual volumes of work performed for compliance with design requirements.

The integrated approach of the EOI will ensure the quality, reliability and safety of the pipeline system operation in difficult marine conditions.
