New fuel and energy production facilities on Sakhalin will provide domestic service to offshore projects

The construction of two large production complexes for the fuel and energy complex has been completed in the Sakhalin Region. Residents of the local oil and gas industrial park are launching real capacities aimed at ensuring the technological sovereignty and independence of the region&s service infrastructure. The start of the enterprises& work is scheduled for July 23-24.

Composite repair without stopping mining

Intra Sakhalin Company (part of the INTRA group of high-tech service companies) is putting into operation a modern administrative and production complex. The site&s local infrastructure includes:

• Metalworking workshop;
• A site for the production of consumables.
  

The key competence of the plant will be to carry out unique composite repairs of equipment directly during its operation. The use of this technology is critically important for operators of offshore projects (including Sakhalin Energy LLC), as eliminating defects without stopping the production cycle eliminates multimillion-dollar losses due to equipment downtime.

Coastal Support Base: new logistics hub

The second significant facility for the fuel and energy complex of the region will be the coastal production service base of the Island General Services Logistics (IGS) company. The infrastructure of a large-scale facility consists of:

• Three closed warehouse buildings;
• Administrative and household complex.
  

The new base will take over the functions of a key logistics hub for Sakhalin&s oil and gas sector. The company&s specialists will carry out the reception, deconsolidation, storage and preparation of technological materials coming from the strategic seaport of Korsakov.

Both investment projects make a significant practical contribution to the state policy of import substitution. The transition of the residents of the industrial park from design plans to the launch of real capacities proves the systematic nature of the work on the formation of a stable domestic industrial base. The presentation of the finished facilities to the professional community will take place on the sidelines of the Sakhalin Energy Far Eastern Energy Forum.
