On March 18, 2026, at a meeting with Mikhail Mishustin, Sergey Dregval, CEO of PJSC Inter RAO, noted: "We are continuing a large-scale program to modernize thermal generation, and currently this program is about 10 GW for the period up to 2031. As part of the implementation of the Energy Strategy of the Russian Federation, we are implementing new generation construction projects in a number of subjects of the Russian Federation, such as the Moscow Region – Kashirskaya GRES, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – Novolenskaya TPP, the Zabaikalsky Territory – Kharanorskaya GRES and the Krasnodar Territory – Sochinskaya and Dzhubginskaya TPPs. The combined capacity of these facilities is more than 3 GW.
To date, Inter RAO Group&s investment obligations in the generation segment alone exceed 1.3 trillion rubles for a period of five years. It is important to note that more than 90% of the equipment that we use in the implementation of these projects are products of domestic production.
We have completed the consolidation of machine–building assets, and last year Inter RAO - Mashinostroenie company was established. This company has seven factories and production sites under its management.
We are carrying out large-scale work on import substitution and plan to implement several major projects that will contribute to increasing the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation. For example, it was decided to create our own production of large and medium-capacity gas turbines, and we plan to complete the production of the first 170 MW turbine in 2028.
This year, we are completing the construction of the first stage of a plant for the repair and production of blades for gas turbines in the Leningrad region. We have more than 10 billion rubles in investments there. We plan to expand this production in the future. In total, we have invested 30 billion rubles in this industry over the past five years.
Our goal is to create a leader in the domestic energy engineering industry in this field.".
Further, Dregval spoke about equipment monitoring: "Our company has a center for remote monitoring and diagnostics of energy equipment. How does it work? The technical condition of electrical equipment is analyzed in real time on a domestic software product using artificial intelligence. Based on this analysis, we make forecasts of equipment failure and form a plan of technical measures to prevent emergencies.
As part of the development of this system, our subsidiary within the Sigma group of companies is creating a software and hardware complex "Unified digital Platform with Predictive Analytics system". And the development of this platform is planned to be fully completed in 2028, which will allow us to reduce the number of emergencies. In other words, we predict an emergency situation in advance and make a decision to eliminate it.
In total, we plan to invest more than 30 billion rubles in the IT segment for the period up to 2030. This is an extremely important area for us."
