Bashkir Generating Company (BGC) has reported on the planned overhaul of the PT-60-90/13 turbine unit at the Salavatskaya CHPP, the company's press service reported. The five-month work was aimed at improving the operational reliability and environmental efficiency of the equipment.
Key stages and scope of work:
• Turbine: The specialists carried out an extensive amount of work, including the replacement of the high-pressure cylinder nozzle. Factory repairs of the 1st and 2nd stages of the high-pressure rotor were carried out at the production site of Kamenergoremont LLC.
• Electrical equipment: The generator was repaired and the transformer of the thyristor excitation system was replaced.
• Auxiliary equipment: The operation of high and low pressure heaters has been restored.
The maintenance was carried out by the contractor SERK LLC together with the repair staff of the branch of BGC LLC — Salavatskaya TPP.
Investments in efficiency and ecology
In parallel with the overhaul, the main ejectors No. 1 and 2 were upgraded as part of the investment program. The installation of updated equipment with improved performance will reduce specific fuel consumption. This, in turn, will provide an environmental effect: reducing emissions of carbon oxides (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) into the atmosphere.
Reference:
Turbine unit No. 7 of the Salavatskaya TPP has been in operation since 1958. Its installed electric capacity is 60 MW, thermal capacity is 164 Gcal/h. In 2018, the machine underwent a deep renovation with the replacement of the main resource—determining components, which allowed to extend the service life of the unit.
