Automated process control system import substitution: Aisors and Metran Project to create Russian complex for oil and gas

05.03.2026

On the sidelines of the Neftegaz-2026 international exhibition, Aisors and Metran Project signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The partnership is aimed at creating high-tech solutions in the field of automation and import substitution of industrial software and equipment.
The document was signed by Valentin Mishin, Director of Development at Aisors, and Dmitry Vdovin, CEO of Metran Project. As part of the agreement, the companies will focus on the joint development and implementation of communication systems, automated process control systems and specialized software.
Key project: a domestic PC-based PAK
The central vector of cooperation will be the creation of a modern software and hardware complex (PAK), which will be based on the architecture of a distributed control system (DCS). The product is being developed taking into account the requirements of Russian legislation on import substitution and is intended to replace foreign analogues at critical facilities. To bring the solution to the market, the parties have already approved a roadmap calculated until 2030.
Division of competencies in the project:
• Metran Project is responsible for the hardware: controllers of remote control systems and emergency protection systems (PAZ), I/O modules, communication modules and power supplies.
• Aisors oversees the software component: from databases and visualization tools to server components and diagnostic applications.
The new PACKAGE will be equipped with a universal industrial protocol converter, which will ensure its full compatibility with both Russian and foreign systems already installed at enterprises. This will allow for the seamless modernization of existing imported turnkey automated process control systems.
Timing and market prospects
The finished product is scheduled to enter the market in 2026. It is expected that the solution will be in high demand: according to expert forecasts, by 2027 the volume of the Russian automation systems market may exceed 200 billion rubles.
Valentin Mishin, Director of Development, Aisors:
"The solution will allow building distributed control systems and emergency protection systems with an information capacity of up to 30,000 I/O signals in one domain. It can be used to automate large strategic industrial facilities, including for gas and oil refining, chemical and petrochemical industries."
Dmitry Vdovin, CEO of Metran Project:
"The solution assumes an integrated concept in the form of a single software and hardware complex that will provide 100% redundancy of all significant functions, nodes and modules, which guarantees its high reliability and compliance with high security requirements of industrial enterprises."
