Ural Chemical Engineering Plant Uralkhimmash (a structural division of the Sinara Group) has produced and shipped to the customer a stabilization column housing for gas condensate, as well as a storage tank. This industrial equipment is intended for operation at the Yuzhno-Kirinskoye oil and gas condensate field, the company&s press service reported. The stabilization unit is part of the technological complex for processing hydrocarbon raw materials. The main purpose of the unit is the production of commercial gas condensate suitable for subsequent processing into petroleum products: gasoline fractions, aviation fuel and lubricants.
The functional role of the storage tank is the short-term storage of condensate at a controlled pressure. The equipment prepares the product for the next stages of the technological chain: phase separation, transportation and further processing in the field. The manufactured complex will ensure the production of approximately 2,000 tons of commercial condensate per day.
The technical characteristics of the stabilization column are impressive in their parameters. The length of the assembled hull reaches 48.6 meters with a diameter of 5.4 meters. The weight of the structure is 214 tons. The gas tank is characterized by the following indicators: height 17 meters, diameter 3 meters, weight 116 tons. The useful volume of the tank is 100 cubic meters of gaseous fuel.
In the manufacture of the units, special steel grade 09G2C was used – a low-carbon alloy with additives of silicon and manganese. This material is characterized by increased heat resistance and mechanical strength, which is critically important for welded structures operating under extreme temperature conditions.
The Yuzhno-Kirinskoye field is of strategic interest to the Russian energy industry. The proven hydrocarbon reserves exceed 470 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 17 million tons of condensate. The deposit is located in the Sea of Okhotsk, which creates special requirements for the reliability of technological equipment.
"The products produced contribute to the increase of production capacity at a national-scale facility. The company&s production plans provide for additional delivery before the end of the current year. It is planned to ship stabilization units and a heat exchange complex with a total weight of over 1,500 tons," said Evgeny Gritsenko, head of Uralkhimmash.
The implementation of the project strengthens the position of the Russian engineering industry in the oil and gas sector. Domestic equipment demonstrates its competitiveness in the market of high-tech industrial solutions for the extractive industry.
