Pilot labeling of gas piston and diesel generator sets will start in November 2025.

Russian government agencies are launching a pilot program to apply identification tags to industrial energy equipment. First of all, it will cover gas-piston power plants and diesel generators.

The project is planned for the period from November 2025 to August 2026. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has posted the relevant documentation on the official portal of regulatory legal acts.

The labeling program will affect a wide range of electric power equipment, including major components, components, and spare parts. The new system is aimed at digitalizing the industry and creating transparent accounting of the movement of technical means.

This pilot project will make it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed solutions and, based on it, decide whether to expand the program to other sectors of the economy.

Each device will be equipped with a unique digital code containing comprehensive information about the product&s characteristics. Manufacturers have clear requirements for labeling.

Labeling will significantly improve the quality of equipment control, prevent the appearance of counterfeit products on the market, and improve the safety of energy equipment operation.

The successful implementation of the project will require coordinated cooperation between government agencies and market participants. Manufacturers should be ready to implement new standards on time.
